Experience
What Went Well
Their pricing strategy was spot-on. The comparable sales data they showed me justified the lower listing price, and we still ended up selling within 10% of asking. The closing team handled all the paperwork professionally, and the escrow process was smooth. I appreciated that they were upfront about realistic expectations from the start.
What Went Wrong
The 15% commission plus $500 closing fee felt steep, but I was told this is industry standard. The listing took longer to get traction than they initially suggested (they said 60-90 days for first serious inquiry, it took about 6 weeks which was within range but felt long). Would have appreciated more proactive updates during slow periods.
Advice for Others
Be realistic about your timeshare's value. The resale market is tough and most timeshares sell for a fraction of purchase price. Get comparable sales data before committing to a listing price. Also, understand all fees upfront and calculate your true net proceeds before signing any agreements.
