Finally Free After Years of Ownership

5/5
Proof Attached

I worked with this company for approximately 8 months to complete my timeshare transfer. The initial consultation took about 1 weeks, during which they reviewed my ownership documents and explained their 3-phase process in detail. Phase 1 involved document collection and contract analysis, which was thorough and professional. Phase 2 was the negotiation with the resort, where my case manager kept me informed throughout. The team communicated regularly via email and phone calls. The final phase involved signing release documents and waiting for resort confirmation. I received my official release letter 2 weeks after the paperwork was submitted. Total cost: $3800 (as quoted). I would recommend this company to others in similar situations.

What went well:

My case manager was patient in explaining each step of the process.

Exit Confirmed But Process Was Frustrating

Exit

We got our exit from our Bluegreen contract after fourteen months. Trident was not the worst experience I could imagine, but it was far below what I hoped for. Communication was inconsistent, the timeline missed by three months, and I often felt like I was managing the process myself. The exit is confirmed and the documentation is real, so I am not giving one star. But I would approach this company with low expectations and a willingness to stay on top of them.

What went well:

The exit is legitimate and the final release documentation was complete.

Paid $4,200 and Got No Results for a Year

Exit

I paid $4,200 in fees at signing. One year later, I had nothing — no release, no explanation of where my case stood, and no successful response to the six written requests for status updates I had submitted. The one time I finally reached a live person, they told me my case was "in active negotiation with the resort." I asked for specifics and was told the details were confidential. I have since filed a complaint with the state attorney general's office and am pursuing a chargeback. I cannot recommend this company.

What went well:

I was able to reach someone eventually, though the information provided was unhelpful.

Disappointing From the Start

Exit

The salesperson who signed us up was excellent — knowledgeable, confident, and reassuring. Once we signed, it felt like the service quality dropped immediately. We were assigned a case manager who left the company in month three and was never replaced. For two months after that, nobody could tell us who was handling our case. The exit was eventually completed at month fifteen, three months past the upper end of their stated range. The documentation is legitimate, but the experience was not close to what was sold to us.

What went well:

Exit was legitimate and documentation complete.

Would Not Recommend — Very Disappointed

Exit

We signed with Trident expecting a professional exit process. What we got was an intake call, two months of silence, then a series of form emails that contained no specific information about our case. The exit did eventually happen at month sixteen, but only after I escalated in writing and threatened to file a formal complaint. The release documentation arrived with an error in the property description that took an additional three weeks to correct. Two stars because the exit is real, but everything about the process was below acceptable.

What went well:

The exit was confirmed after escalation and the corrected documentation eventually arrived.

It Worked But Barely

Exit

I am giving four stars because the exit was real, the documentation was legitimate, and the consultant I worked with was genuinely knowledgeable. But it took seventeen months on a stated timeline of eight to twelve, and communication in the second year was almost nonexistent unless I called. There are better exit companies that will likely get you the same result with less frustration. That said, if you find yourself already contracted with Trident, push for a named case manager and regular updates from day one.

What went well:

Legitimate exit documentation and knowledgeable consultant.
