Nightmare Experience - Still Fighting

This has been the worst consumer experience of my life. I signed up in March 2023 to exit my Wyndham timeshare. Here's the timeline of what happened: March 2023: Paid $4,500 upfront fee after a high-pressure sales call. Was promised exit within 6-12 months. April-June 2023: Received initial paperwork to sign. Was told the process was "underway." July-September 2023: Complete radio silence. Emails went unanswered. Phone calls went to voicemail. When I finally reached someone, they said my case manager had left the company and my case was being "reassigned." October 2023: New case manager contacted me but seemed unfamiliar with my file. Had to re-explain everything and resend documents. November 2023-January 2024: Was told they were "negotiating with Wyndham" but couldn't provide any specifics or documentation of these negotiations. February 2024: Discovered that no formal exit process had actually been initiated with Wyndham. The company had apparently been doing nothing for 11 months. March 2024: Filed complaint with Florida Attorney General and disputed the charge with my credit card company. Still ongoing.

What went well:

Honestly, nothing went well. The only silver lining is that my credit card company has tentatively agreed to a chargeback while they investigate, and I've connected with other victims through a consumer complaint forum.

Great Experience Overall

I worked with this company for approximately 11 months to complete my timeshare deed-back. The initial consultation took about 1 weeks, during which they reviewed my ownership documents and explained their 3-phase process in detail. Phase 1 involved document collection and contract analysis, which was thorough and professional. Phase 2 was the negotiation with the resort, where my case manager kept me informed throughout. The team communicated regularly via email and phone calls. The final phase involved signing release documents and waiting for resort confirmation. I received my official release letter 5 weeks after the paperwork was submitted. Total cost: $4400 (as quoted). I would recommend this company to others in similar situations.

What went well:

My case manager was patient in explaining each step of the process.

Terrible Customer Service

1/5

I worked with this company for approximately 8 months to complete my timeshare resale. The initial consultation took about 3 weeks, during which they reviewed my ownership documents and explained their 4-phase process in detail. Communication dropped significantly after the first month. Despite multiple attempts to get updates, I often went 3 weeks without hearing anything. The process took 8 months instead of the 5 months they initially quoted. I'm still waiting for resolution after 8 months and have filed complaints with the BBB. Total cost: $3600 (higher than the initial quote of $2500). I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

What went well:

Very little went well in this process. The initial sales pitch was convincing but the follow-through was severely lacking.
