Smooth From Start to Finish

Resale

Summit sold our Steamboat Springs ski week in six months at a price we were very happy with. The consultant was organized, communicative, and honest about the process. Regular updates came on a consistent schedule without us needing to ask. The closing paperwork was handled entirely by their team with no issues. This is the standard of service every resale company should aspire to.

What went well

Consistent proactive communication, accurate pricing, and a fully managed closing process.

Regret Signing Up

1/5
Betty Hamilton

I worked with this company for approximately 2 months to complete my timeshare exit. The initial consultation took about 2 weeks, during which they reviewed my ownership documents and explained their 2-phase process in detail. Communication dropped significantly after the first month. Despite multiple attempts to get updates, I often went 4 weeks without hearing anything. The process took 2 months instead of the 5 months they initially quoted. I'm still waiting for resolution after 2 months and have filed complaints with the BBB. Total cost: $2200 (higher than the initial quote of $1400). I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

What went well

Very little went well in this process. The initial sales pitch was convincing but the follow-through was severely lacking.

Sold Our Jackson Hole Week Quickly and Professionally

Resale

We had owned a ski week at a Jackson Hole property for twelve years and used it perhaps six times. Summit Resale Partners was recommended by our financial planner who had worked with two other clients who sold through them. The consultant was the most knowledgeable resort resale professional we had encountered — he understood the specific market for Jackson Hole ski weeks at a granular level and had active buyer relationships in that segment. The sale closed in just over three months at a price above the midpoint of his initial estimate. Outstanding.

What went well

The most detailed market knowledge we encountered from any resale company, resulting in a quick and well-priced sale.

Good Company But Wanted More Communication

Summit sold our Sun Valley week in seven months and the price was fair. My only frustration was that communication during months three and four was sparse. When I called, my consultant was helpful and up to date. But I should not have had to call to find out where things stood. Three stars because the result and expertise were there, but the proactive communication standard was not consistent throughout.

What went well

Idaho ski resort market expertise and a fair outcome on price.

Great Results With a Slight Timeline Delay

4/5

Resale

Our Teton Village week sold in eight months — about a month past the upper end of their six-to-seven-month estimate. The delay was explained as a softer buyer market in that particular segment during those months. Communication was consistent throughout and the sale price came in at the midpoint of the initial estimate. Four stars because the minor timeline miss was noticeable but the overall experience and outcome were solid. Would use them again.

What went well

Consistent communication and a sale price that matched projections despite the timeline overage.

Expert Mountain Resort Knowledge — Excellent Results

Resale

We owned a Big Sky timeshare that had appreciated in value over the years but that we could no longer use regularly. Summit Resale Partners understood immediately that premium Montana ski properties required a specific buyer — typically a buyer already familiar with Big Sky who wanted secondary ownership or additional inventory. Their targeted approach meant the sale moved quickly. Five months from start to finish at the upper end of the projected price range. We cannot recommend them highly enough for mountain resort resales.

What went well

Targeted buyer outreach that reached the right market segment quickly and efficiently.
