Write ReviewFrustrating Experience
I worked with this company for approximately 7 months to complete my timeshare transfer. The initial consultation took about 2 weeks, during which they reviewed my ownership documents and explained their 4-phase process in detail. Communication dropped significantly after the first month. Despite multiple attempts to get updates, I often went 2 weeks without hearing anything. The process took 7 months instead of the 4 months they initially quoted. I'm still waiting for resolution after 7 months and have filed complaints with the BBB. Total cost: $2600 (higher than the initial quote of $1800). I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
Very little went well in this process. The initial sales pitch was convincing but the follow-through was severely lacking.
Average Experience — Nothing Stood Out
Magnolia Exit Group completed our exit in nine months. The process was fine — not outstanding, not problematic. Communication was adequate but not proactive. The exit was legitimate. The fee was in line with the industry. I am giving three stars because the experience was exactly average: they said they would do something, they did it, and the client experience in between was unremarkable. If you want reliable and average, this is a reasonable choice.
Delivered the exit as promised within the quoted range.
Too Many Excuses, Not Enough Action
Every time I called for an update during our twelve-month process, I was told the resort was slow or the market was difficult or something else outside their control. I understand external factors exist. What I do not understand is why those factors were never explained proactively — only when I called. The exit did happen and the documentation is legitimate. But I felt like I spent eleven months being managed rather than served. Two stars because the outcome was real but the experience was poor.
Legitimate exit with complete documentation.
Exit Completed — Very Happy With the Result
We had been paying maintenance fees on a Bluegreen timeshare we had not used in four years. After researching exit companies, we chose Magnolia Exit Group based on their Gulf South focus and several positive reviews from clients in our area. Our consultant was knowledgeable, set honest expectations about the timeline, and followed through. Eight months after signing, we received our release documentation. The process matched what was described and we are genuinely happy to be free of the annual fees.
Honest timeline estimate that was met and a complete, legitimate release document at the end.
Professional Staff, Slow Timeline
The Magnolia Exit team was professional and knowledgeable throughout. My only complaint is that the exit took eleven months — two months past the upper end of their stated range. They were communicative during the overage period and explained the delay clearly, which I appreciated. The exit is legitimate and the documentation is complete. Four stars because the professionalism was real but the timeline miss was noticeable.
Consistent communication and clear explanation when the timeline extended.
Had to Follow Up Too Often
Our exit completed after thirteen months. The stated range was eight to eleven. During months seven through twelve, I had to initiate almost every contact to get any information about where my case stood. When I did reach someone, they were generally helpful, but the fact that it required so much client-initiated follow-up for a paid service is frustrating. The exit is real. But I would be more careful about which exit company I chose if I were doing this again.
Exit was confirmed with complete documentation.
Still Waiting After Fifteen Months — Update Pending
I am writing this review at the fifteen-month mark with no exit confirmation and no clear timeline from the company. Their original estimate was eight to twelve months. I have called eleven times. I have sent seven emails. I receive assurances that my case is active, but I have never seen any documentation of that activity. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. I will update this review if the exit eventually happens. Until then, I cannot recommend this company.
Staff answered the phone when I called, though the information provided was not useful.
